Asturias stands out, on one hand, for the high and famous quality of its livestock, for example, the Asturian beef “Xata Roxa”, or the “Gochu Asturcelta” pork, taking full advantage of its rich and ideal land for breeding.
On the other hand, there is also such high quality of fish (albacore tuna, hake, sardine, monkfish, mackerel, sea bass or red mullet, …) and excellent seafood (clams, prawns, goose barnacles, cockles, velvet crab/spider crab/lobster/edible crab, and even oysters), all from the Cantabrian Sea.
